Have you ever thought maybe if we mention “God” frequently, our lives should reflect Him just a little? Please don’t misunderstand, we are not perfect and we will never be, however when you love God and KNOW Him, your life should at least reflect the basics: loving, supporting, and providing for your children. Correct? If I’m wrong, please feel free to correct me. After all, we are God’s children and we expect Him to love, support and provide for us…
We all have to be accountable for our choices even when our choices go against God’s will. My uncle once enlightened me on what exactly is a MAN/WOMAN. Do you know? I mean truly know. It took him years to know and a lot of us think we know. We are born male and female, however we are men/women when we DO THE WILL OF OUR CREATOR! If we believe, as I do, God is our creator, loves us and we love him back, THEN are we striving to do His will? I know we WILL and DO fall short and that’s why I say “strive”. I’m simply talking about LOVING YOUR CHILDREN, and not making excuses for our choices and actions that clearly show we don’t. For example, when we are called out about not doing God’s will (being a parent) and we are clearly NOT, we won’t respond “if u follow Jesus then learn 2 mind ur own business, u hv No idea wht I do 4 my kids! God bless!!” or “God’s love never fails…” and let’s not forget “God Bless You!” Please stop using God’s name in vain, especially when it is apparent we are not even living up to the basics of His will… simply loving and supporting our children.
We can no longer use our parents as an excuse for not being good parents or be victims all our lives. Our past is our past and we KNOW right from wrong. If we don’t know what’s right and MANY people are telling us what is wrong, EVERYONE can’t be crazy. At some point we have to realize it’s us that’s crazy! I have blogged before about us all having to look in the mirror. As hard as it is, we have to. God’s will is for us to LOVE one another, be self-less, encourage one another, and be good stewards over what He has so graciously blessed us with…OUR CHILDREN are the most important gifts God gives us!
Note I’m not asking anyone to be perfect, because perfection is impossible. But LOVING your own children is and should be a GIVEN for goodness sakes….unless you are mentally ill. Well….have I ever thought maybe…someone is?
Many blessings to you. Keep the faith, keep it positive, and stay the course!
I would love to know your thoughts. (Remember: even just two words are appreciated!)
